Feature Monkey
How Gautham Santhosh built an app to address customer feedback

Hey! What are you working on and what led you to building with no code? Have you got any previous experience of building sites/apps?

I am working on Feature Monkey, a no code SaaS platform using AI. It allows companies to make customer driven decisions on what features to make. When a customer makes a feature request, other customers and employees vote and decide priority to ship that feature. Yes, i had made a few products before Feature Monkey. It was my need to build something for one of my products that led me to make feature monkey.

‍What platforms and tools have you used to build Feature Monkey?

I used to make the basic layout, but no app is complete until it's connected to others right. So using Zapier, i integrated it to Facebook and Twitter to fetch posts about the product details. Used Google NLP toolkit to add the AI part. And integrated slack and email notifications to update the users.

How long did it take to build?

It took two weeks over the time of Product Hunt makers festival. I had made the basic one over a night, but i was not happy with it. So i tried to improve it, bugging the team. It worked, super helpful team.

How have you gone about growing your user base? What has been most effective?

Feature Monkey won the Product Hunt Makers Festival in Tools for Teams Category. Which is still the source for most of my users till date.

Have you monetised it yet and if so, what is your revenue model?

It's free atm. I'm working on a paid version 🤭

What has been the hardest part of building, growing or monetising Feature Monkey.

Building no code products are easy as it gets. But the current eco system is kinda very early and the amount of things you could do are very limited. Growing and monetising is exactly as same as any other app. Well you're users don't care what's under the hood of your app. It can be a monkey sitting on a type writer. As long as it works.

Do you have any tips on building, growing or monetising a no code product/business?

Ship public via joining communities like It can be lonely sometimes being a solo maker. Most of it is, making calculated decisions and patience.

Where can we find out more about Feature Monkey and connect with you?

You can connect with me over any of the social media mentioned over at me, i always reply fast. And would love to connect with other makers.
